Laura Munson Visits Wellington

In following up with our previous post, we had an absolutely wonderful time hosting Laura Munson, a NY Times Best Selling Author of the memoir, “This Is Not the Story You Think It Is: A Story of Unlikely Happiness” during the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival. On this past Thursday she participated in a Lunch and Learn seminar where she spoke to a crowd of about eighty people on the topic of “Getting Out of Your Own Way: Getting the Results You Want.”

Laura spoke very freely and also read three excerpts from her book before she took a question and answer section.  She tied in how horses can help bring us back to the current moment, but also how it’s important to get out of our own way to allow us all the success in whatever we want out of life. Laura also pointed out that we should never hold ourselves back due to the things that are in our immediate control. It was a powerful and very personal talk that brought a few tears to the eyes of the audience.

We just want to thank everyone who made this event and the Meet and Greet we hosted on Saturday night at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center a huge success. We couldn’t have done it without you!
