All Proceeds To Benefit Disaster Funds
There have been so many people affected by the flooding and tornadoes in the United States that we felt it was important for all of us in the horse world to support both horse owners and non horse owners. That is why we are encouraging donations to both the following charities:
American Red Cross: Since March 31 the Red Cross has served 2.1 million meals and snacks, opened more than 200 shelters and distributed more than 1.1 million items like tarps, work gloves and cleaning supplies. It’s estimated that Red Cross relief operations for the disasters that have struck the U.S. since the end of March will cost as much as $41 million. To date they have not raised enough to cover that cost, and hurricane season kicks off next week. Donate Now
US Disaster Equine Relief Fund: Administered by the Kentucky Horse Council (tentative) to provide aid and relief to horse owners affected by disasters. Funds are distributed through local horse councils throughout the US. Please Donate Now
Retail Day proceeds will be split between the two charities helping both humans and horses.
