Where We’ll Be: Fall 2018
And just like that, summer is gone. Are we a little sad? Yes, but only a little because fall is our time to shine! Equitation finals, year-end horse shows and awards, changing leaves (we’re in New England) and chilly mornings are some of the best things in our opinion. Some of our favorite events also happen in the fall. Here’s where we’ll be!
September 22 – Woofstock – Hudson, MA
Woofstock is Buddy Dog Humane Society’s annual outdoor fundraiser and festival! Attendees will get to enjoy a large array of vendor booths including rescue groups, crafts, and businesses from all over New England. It also includes big raffles, delicious food, live music, kids entertainment, contests, agility and dog demonstrations! It’s a festival fun for the whole family and pet lovers alike!

September 23 – Norfolk Hunt Club Field Hunter Horse Show – Medfield, MA
A low key competition combining traditional hunt fences with a horse show atmosphere. Inviting courses for competitors and hunt club members at introductory heights up to 3’6″ for horses and ponies.

October 13 & 14 – NEDA Fall Symposium featuring Charlotte Dujardin – South Hadley, MA
Triple Olympic Gold medalist Charlotte Dujardin CBE will be making her first-ever appearance in New England, headlining the 2018 New England Dressage Association (NEDA) Fall Symposium. Dujardin is an elite British dressage rider and a global superstar of the sport. She and her famous horse “Valegro,” danced their way into hearts of dressage enthusiasts worldwide while setting the record books on fire. They became the first-ever duo to hold Olympic, World, European and World Cup championship titles simultaneously.

October 18, 19 &21 – New England Equitation Championships – Springfield, MA
The New England Equitation Committee stands as a tribute to what can be accomplished when horsemen and horsewomen work together for the good of the sport. For many years people around the country have referred to the New England Equitation Championships as the finest regional medal finals in the country. The five days of competition are packed with fun, excitement and great competition. Wednesday and Thursday are dedicated to our adult riders, while the Juniors rule Friday-Sunday.

October 29, 30 &31 – Equestricon – Louisville, KY
Equestricon is the first and only of its kind – a premier horse racing lifestyle event designed to celebrate the sport of racing with its fans.
