Who We Are

Education/Training/Experience:

I am a graduate of Fisher College in Boston, I have attended and completed both the NC State Textile Fundamentals program and the MIT Greater Boston Executive Program in Business Management. Probably most importantly I knew I wanted to be in the family business from the time I was 6 years old. I wanted to be the first female president of the family business and achieved that 3 years ago.

What is your role in Draper Therapies?

As the president and founder of Draper Therapies, it has been my experiment, my fun, my creativity and something I believe very strongly in. Once I was exposed to and saw the results of the use of Celliant, it became our mission to get it to Horses, then Dogs and Cats and then, oh yeah, humans!

How long have you been working here?

I have been working at Draper Knitting Company (the parent of Draper Therapies) for 23 years (yes I started when I was 12, ha, ha) and Draper Therapies has been my baby for 8 years and is something that takes the textile business in a whole different direction but still fits nicely into our core values and competencies.

What is your best memory involving Draper Therapies?

Since the addition of Kat in 2008 we have started to have serious fun, traveling together, donning costumes and other crazy gimmicks and meeting the most amazing people along the way! It would be hard to pick just one!

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

If I were a good parent I would say things like spending time with my family or doing my part to support world peace but in reality, it would involve, my family, a warm sunny beach and a beverage with an umbrella in it!

Any last words or advice to live by?

If it isn’t fun, why do it—sometimes you’re the windshield, sometimes you’re the bug—never ever give up!

Education/Training/Experience:

I graduated from Roger Williams University with a degree in Anthropology/Sociology and minors in Communications and Philosophy. I have worked in retail for over 10 years at the store level in various management and customer service positions. I also have several years of branding/marketing/social media experience and continue to grow and evolve with the market. Animals, in general, have always been a huge part of my life. I have always had at least on dog or cat member of my family (right now I am the proud owner of five dogs and a cat). Horses and horse showing have been a part of my life for the better part of 25 years. I have competed on local, regional and national levels of the hunter/jumper/equitation circuit and enjoy all aspects of competition and horsemanship. I currently own a Holsteiner warmblood geldings (“Calando”).

What is your role in Draper Therapies?

I am currently the Brand/Marketing Manager for Draper Therapies. I am a “jack of all trades”; I will be processing your orders, answering your questions, managing the wholesale accounts, and working alongside the team to help bring you the most useful, innovative, and quality products we can dream up!

How long have you been working here?

I started in mid October 2012.

What is your best memory involving Draper Therapies?

Working at Draper has given be the opportunity to attend many events I might not have gone to on my own, most notably the Breeder’s Cup in Louisville, KY, the Kentucky 3-Day Event in Lexington, KY, and the Outdoor Retailer Winter trade show in Denver, CO.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

Outside of work you can find me at the barn riding my horses with my dogs “supervising”. My two youngest dogs compete in canine nose work trials so when I’m not showing horses, I’m training and competing with my dogs!
